Thermoelectric Power Plant Protects Secondary Containment Areas

Two separate secondary containment areas were severely deteriorated after years of exposure to sulfuric acid and sodium hypochlorite.

The ENECON Chile team removed all contaminated concrete as well as old, failed coatings. Broken and cracked concrete areas were repaired and rebuilt with ENECRETE DuraQuartz and ENECRETE DuraFill.

Any areas needing repairing were rebuilt with DuraQuartz before final coat.

The entire surface of the secondary containment areas were then coated with two coats of CHEMCLAD XC and CHEMCLAD SC (depending on the chemical exposure), providing superior chemical attack protection from these extreme conditions for years to come.
