Rendering Plant

The local ENECON Distributor in Pittsburgh, was asked to salvage a 66” diameter x 60” long fan housing belonging to a local rendering plant. The fan draws air into a scrubber to reduce the odor that is a result of the processing.

The company processes animal leftovers and restaurant greases. The leftovers are just that, leftovers from butcher shops and taxidermists. These leftovers are reduced into fats, greases and food meal for farm animals.

The results speak for themselves. A tremendous amount of surface prep was involved including grit blasting and welding. ENECON materials included just 4 units of DurAlloy and 3 units of CHEMCLAD SC.
