  • Project Goal

    Protection from seawater

  • Products Used CeramAlloy CL+AC, DuraTough DL, and DuraTough DP
  • Status Completed

hese massive propellers were repaired in 2018 and protected using ENECON High Performance polymer composites.

Areas on the blades that experienced caviation were repaired using DuraTough DP and finally all blades were coated twice with CeramAlloy CL+AC.

Products used:

DuraTough DP

FLEXICLAD DuraTough DP is a two component, 100% solids elasto-ceramic polymer composite specifically formulated to rebuild equipment prone to cavitation attack and subsequent damage.

DuraTough combines the superior strength, durability and adhesion of an epoxy with the exceptional flexibility, abrasion resistance and shock-absorbency of an elastomeric urethane.

FLEXICLAD DuraTough DP is ideal for rebuilding cavitated areas as well as creating or rebuilding flexible seals, gaskets, seats, etc, on machinery and equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, valves and piping systems.

DuraTough DL

FLEXICLAD DuraTough DL is a two component, 100% solids, fluid consistency elasto-ceramic polymer composite specifically formulated to surface and protect equipment subject to cavitation accelerated erosion/corrosion.

DuraTough combines the superior strength, durability and adhesion of an epoxy with the exceptional flexibility, abrasion resistance and shock absorbency of an elastomeric urethane.

Flexiclad DuraTough DL is ideal for coating, resurfacing & protecting equipment prone to cavitation attack as well as creating and repairing flexible seals, gaskets, seats, etc., on machinery and equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, valves & piping systems.

CeramAlloy CL+AC

This is a 100% solids, two component, liquid polymer composite used for repairing, resurfacing and coating components to provide outstanding fluid flow erosion and corrosion resistance.

When mixed, METALCLAD CeramAlloy CL+AC is a viscous liquid. CL+AC cures to a hard, ceramic-like material with an extremely smooth surface finish.
