  • Products Used CeramAlloy CL+AC, CeramAlloy CP+AC, and DurAlloy
  • Status Completed

The Greek Navy selects CeramAlloy & DurAlloy to help solve some very difficult repair problems on their ships & submarines

Here are two examples where ENECON’s high performance polymer composites coupled with professional field engineering support have saved the Greek Navy thousands of dollars over conventional repair or replacement procedures.

These fire pumps were completely destroyed by erosion and corrosion. METALCLAD CeramAlloy was used to rebuild and resurface the pumps so that they can provide many more years of service to the Greek Navy.

The second example highlights a repair to a damaged periscope piston from a Navy submarine. METALCLAD DurAlloy was used to rebuild the damaged areas saving the Navy a great deal of time and money when compared to conventional welding or flame spraying repairs.

Of course, since DurAlloy requires NO HEAT, the danger of warping the piston or creating metallurgical damage associated with welding was eliminated.
