The FLEXICLAD systems were chosen to protect this propeller damaged by corrosion and cavitation. The original profiles of the impeller were rebuilt first with Duralloy and then protection was accomplished using DuraTough DL.

FLEXICLAD DuraTough DL is a two component, 100% solids, fluid consistency elasto-ceramic polymer composite specifically formulated to surface and protect equipment subject to cavitation accelerated erosion/corrosion.
