Repair of damaged metal pipe

These two severely broken concrete pipes at a major fertilizer plant in Romania were leaking wastewater. This area was of great concern to the plant engineers because a foundation for some new equipment had to be constructed there.
Traditional repair / replacement would have necessitated a 25 day shutdown of this critical system which was simply “impossible”, according to the engineers. They needed a quick, yet permanent, solution.
Remembering that ENECON Romania had provided a very effective pipe repair at this plant a few weeks before, the plant engineers put out an S.O.S. to their local ENECON Fluid Flow Systems’ Specialist on a Friday afternoon. The ENECON Romania Team arrived the next morning and by 8 PM…
‘Problem Solved’!
ENECRETE WP was used to stop the leaks followed by the installation of a DuraWrap carbon fiber system. DuraQuartz was then used to build up the thickness to match the diameter of the concrete pipe, followed by a coat of CeramAlloy CL+AC for good measure.
