Airport Radar

ENESEAL CR was approved by a Telecommunications company to protect existing radar structure from corrosion. The radar is based inside the airport facilities on sea shore and apart from constant exposure to sunlight, it is exposed to sea environment. Both metallic structure and cementious base, showed signs of corrosion. After the radar structure was dismantled and brought down to solid ground by a crane our steps included: – Hydroblasting using potable water – Manual cleaning in areas where we could not blast – Second jet wash using CHLOR RID. This chemical compound was our suggestion in order to have a safe and reliable removal of all soluble salt contaminants. – We applied two coats of ENESEAL CR in industrial light gray color and topped it off with client’s preferred color of coating approved by our office.
