NSF Approved CHEMCLAD XC Protects Potable Water Pump. Improves Pumping Efficiency.

A major water utility, which operates drinking water systems throughout the United States, chose ENECON CHEMCLAD XC to protect and improve the efficiency of a large potable water pump.

The 30 year old split case pump, which supplies drinking water to a large urban area in Northern New Jersey, was scheduled for overhaul. A major concern was to find a way to stop the continuing erosion and corrosion damage to the pump.

Improving the efficiency of pump’s operation would be a significant ‘plus’. After grit blasting, two layers of ENECON CHEMCLAD XC in the NSF approved white, potable water grade color, were applied by the utility’s own crew.

The resurfaced pump will provide many additional years of service and improved efficiency.

A large number of ENECON products can achieve NSF‘s certification for potable water, namely ‘NSF/ANSI 61 – Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects’. In the past ENECON kept this certification for CHEMCLAD XC. Today it maintains the certification for CHEMCLAD SC. More at this NSF link (or search for ENECEON here).
